If you do publish your patterns, I want to be in line for my own copy/copies. :)TuttleDBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17246623695510771432noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1941072690019821378.post-7682363301192930812010-11-07T12:52:00.902-05:002010-11-07T12:52:00.902-05:00You've set yourself a real task, and you shoul...You've set yourself a real task, and you should reap the rewards of it. Definitely publish. It's nice that you want to do each pattern a couple times at least, I love when patterns show pictures of more than one choice of yarn or color. I think I sometimes pass up nice patterns because I don't like the color or yarn used in the photo. One Sheephttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00511357025316848186noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1941072690019821378.post-29740962451220856282010-11-04T15:39:19.299-04:002010-11-04T15:39:19.299-04:00I think u should publish them..

If you think about the average pattern collection from a single designer, 30 original patterns would be an extremely generous amount, and 50 might even be the total over three books. I don't know how rigid a time frame you've set for yourself, or how easily desigining comes to you, but it would be a shame to burn out because of too high a goal on the design side. Rather than chiseling an exact number in stone, I'd set a reasonable number as the minimum, and re-evaluate when I'd met it.Kitten With a Whiplashhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03398822257651862516noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1941072690019821378.post-19982177656464502182010-10-29T14:12:58.035-04:002010-10-29T14:12:58.035-04:00Dear Constantly Knitting:

With all the different yarns and colors available, each shawl would be a unique creation. And, yes, you should publish your patterns – individually or collectively in a book with the story behind each pattern. You are a wonderful writer. I have been following your blog ever since it was mentioned on The Woolery’s newsletter. Yours is the only blog I visit daily. Thanks for the inspiration.
Sincerely,
Madeleine
dmpattershall@juno.comAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
